"Molly Kiely...does things with just black ink that most people can't do with the entire color spectrum."
~ Wayne Alan Brenner, Austin Chronicle; June 15 2012
Molly Kiely was born in Northern Ontario two weeks after the release of Abbey Road. She currently lives in Tucson, Arizona, where she works in a studio downtown. Her daughter was born in 2007, and she is recently returning to illustration and comics after Mom Hiatus. Get in touch to visit, or initiate a commission.
She works primarily with ink on paper, and with raw pigments on illustration board and canvas.
Molly's comics include the Diary of a Dominatrix and Saucy Little Tart series, published between 1993 and 1997, and the graphic novels That Kind of Girl and Tecopa Jane published in 1999 and 2003 by the Eros imprint of Fantagraphics.
She recently contributed six pieces to the The Graphic Canon, Volumes 1 - 3 published in late 2012 and early 2013 by Seven Stories Press. She is currently working on a comic book about a parallel universe, demigoddesses, librarians, and a Chiricahuan uprising. There's also a rapture, but the guys get left behind.
